Synopsis
Emiko Tamaki is a female office worker who’s exhausted with life, but when she goes up to someone collapsed on the street, she’s surprised by his sudden request to model for him. The man turns out to be renowned artist Shunsui Ishihara, and he wants her nude…and covered in fish?! It’s not the most normal way to get to know someone, but it might be the start of something beautiful — or at least unpredictable!

Contributor's Note
TW: Depression, some nudity because of the art premise but a wholesome read!
This slice-of-life series was an underrated read I found online and became one of my comfort reads in the last year. The female protagonist Emiko is so earnest and endearing. Like the characters around her, I can’t help but be charmed by her as she finds renewed excitement for life in little things like working towards a sushi dinner or striking the courage to talk to colleagues.
The art is also so beautiful (especially for those who love a sea theme!) and as a romantic comedy, I like the understated humour.
