The Never-Ending Search for the Edge of the Universe: An Exercise in Profound Futility
By: Yellow Mushmellow, Frederick Low
Synopsis
This series of 22 illustrations draws from a place deep within, using imagery inspired by the 'experiences of the Universe' to articulate and recount narratives that are universally personal, be it tragic or delightful. As we cautiously navigate this journey of self-discovery, we learn to come to terms with the sobering fact that the search for the edge of the universe is more often than not, an exercise in profound futility; but we try anyway.

Contributor's Note
This book gave me a fresh perspective on storytelling — it showed me that a simple concept, applied cleverly, can make great impact! With just white lines on black paper, the sense of vastness was conveyed through negative space, and the excitement of finding something among the pages conveyed that sense of searching and longing. I enjoyed this so much, and was so inspired by it!
